"This exhibit represents a new direction in my style. I've expanded in size and taken up creamy acrylics on canvas. These images are an expression of the joy I've found this past year in my own "Tree of Life.

When I was asked to paint this mural on canvas for Branic Homes, during the recent Tour of Homes, I said yes to the formidable expanse of canvas! I stepped up and down on a ladder for weeks, with paint and brushes in hand, reaching for the highest branches. I leaned heavily on all my years of design and technique, and then simply painted from my heart.

Red is my color. The "Joy" paintings (not shown here) are a classic cruciform design that bridge horizontally and vertically, forming a focal point at the cross.
