"My acrylic paintings involve freely applied abstract shapes and lines but at times I will use dream-like figurative forms, often with a whimsical, playful feeling. I like to paint the world of the imagination, a world glowing with energy. I have a strong interest in mythology, dreams, symbolism and ancient cultures which inspire my creations. Themes explored deal with connectivity, energy, growth, home, the intimate worlds of birds, gardens and being still."
